How to get here

– you can take the S19 train from Cologne main station and get off at buir, 2 stops before the end of the line. It is possible to ride with out a ticket but there are frequent controlls so it is better to stay alert

– If you are arriving by hitchhiking gas stations in Frechen are a good point to get off the A4 highway. You can walk to Frechen-Königsdorf train station from there

– From buir station, exit left at the bottom of the stairs, walking away from the town. Cross the bridge over motorway. Continue on road until you get to a junction between two asphalt roads and turn left there. Take next right down a dirt track, where there is a big blue sign. Follow that track straight, past a gravel works on your left, until you get to the main forest entrance. Continue straight until you get to Jpoint.

What to bring

– at the moment theres a very small capacity in sleeping spaces we can offer, so it would be great if people bring sleeping/camping stuff

– we have no idea how many people will show up so please bring some vegan food for the communcal kitchen if you are able

– your climbing equipment if you have

– a waterproof jacket and shoes, a warm sleeping bag and a headlamp are always a good idea

– there is also a lot of pollen in the forest around this time of the year so if you have allergies bring your medicine

This is a self organised event

– it is important that people participate in dumpster diving and bringing water for the duration of the event

– self organised doesn’t mean self cleaning, please bring your trash with you when you leave

Staying in the forest

– beyond the human occupants of this place there are also wild animals that share the space with us and it is important to respect their needs

– there will be designated camping areas. Please use paths instead of cutting through the forest

– if you have red light better to use that instead of white both human and nonhuman animals will appreciate it

– it is possible that you will meet boars in the night. They are as scared of you as you are of them. You can softly clap your hands and talk to them, they will move away and give you space. There is no need to scare them further, scream at them or blind them with your light

Identification

– there is a possibility that there will be police controls in the area, in that case updates will be on the blog

– people can think beforehand if they would choose to identify themselves or not and plan accordingly, e.g. carry or not carry ID with them

– leave your phones in your tents and outside communal areas

Anreise

– Zug: S19 von Köln, aussteigen in Buir (Kerpen). Fahren ohne Ticket ist möglich, aber es wird oft kontrolliert, deshalb empfehlen wir Wachsamkeit

– Trämpen: Tankstelle in Frechen ist eine gute Möglichkeit von der Autobahn (A4) zu kommen, von da S19 Frechen-Königsdorf

– Von Buir Bf: Abgang links unten an der Treppe, weg von der Stadt. Überquere die Brücke über die Autobahn. Weiter auf der Straße, bis du zu einer Kreuzung zwischen Asphaltstraßen kommst, dann links ab biegen. Als nächstes rechts auf einem Schotterweg, wo ein großes blaues Schild steht. Diesem Weg geradeaus folgen, vorbei an einem Kieswerk auf der linken Seite, bis zum Haupteingang des Waldes. Geradeaus weiter, bis du zu Jpoint kommst.

– Schau dir am besten diese veraltete Karte an, um Hilfe zu bekommen. Die beste Idee ist, zu Jesuspoint zu gelangen:

Was mitbringen

– es gibt gerade nicht so viele Schlafplätze die wir anbieten können, deshalb wäre es gut wenn du mitbringst, was du dafür brauchst, z.b. ein Zelt oder Hängematte + Plane

– Wir haben keine Ahnung, wie viele Leute kommen werden, also bring bitte veganes Essen für die Gemeinschaftsküche mit, wenn du kannst.

– Kletterausrüstung wenn du welchen hast

– wasserdichte Jacke & Schuhe, warmer Schlafsack, Kopflampe

– Gerade gibt es viel Pollenflug, wenn du allergisch darauf reagierst entsprechende Medikamente

Die Veranstaltung ist selbstorganisiert

– es ist wichtig, dass Leute sich an Containern, Wasserholen, Kochen enw. Beteiligen

– bitte kümmere dich um deinen Müll

Aufenthalt im Wald

– neben den menschlichen Bewohner*innen dieses Ortes gibt es auch wilde Tiere die diesen Ort mit uns teilen und auf deren Bedürfnisse zu achten ist wichtig

– es wird ausgewiesene Campingplätze geben. Bitte nutzt Wege, anstatt durch den Wald zu schneiden

– wenn möglich verwende bei deiner Kopflampe das rote statt den weißen Licht, sowohl Menschen als auch nicht-menschliche Tiere werden sich darüber freuen

– es kann passiern, dass man Wildschweinen begegnet. Diese haben Angst von dir so wie du Angst vor ihnen hast. Leichtes Händeklatschen oder Zureden reicht um sie auf dich aufmerksam zu machen, sie werden dann wahrscheinlich gehen. Es ist nicht notwendig, sie zu anschreien oder mit der Lampe zu blenden

Polizei & co

– im Umfeld der Veranstaltung, kann es passieren, dass die Polizei Kontrollen durchführt. In diesen Fall werden wir versuchen, auf den Blog aktuelle Information zu teilen

– wir empfehlen, dass du dir vorher überlegst, ob du der Polizei angaben zu deiner Identität machen möchtest und entsprechend deiner Entscheidung deine Tasche packst (also ob du Dinge mitnimmst, anhand derer sich deine Identität belegen oder herausfinden lässt, z.b. Personalausweiss

– mach dir Gedanken über di Übermachungs Möglichkeiten, die dein Smartphone bietet, welche Auswirkungen das auf die Leute um dich herum haben könnte
